Abstract

Amount of Carbon Monoxide (CO) in the car above threshold can increase the risk of poisoning passenger. A warning system to passengers is needed in anticipating the risk purpose. In this research the simple design warning system of Carbon Monoxide is proposed. The MQ-7 as Carbon Monoxide Censor and the DHT-22 as temperature sensor are used respectively. The data censors are collected due to examining Carbon Monoxide levels. In the experimental condition are set on car air conditioning in both off and on positions. Furthermore, the condition is set on stop and moving car. the Carbon Monoxide threshold is set on 8 ppm. Hence, the data is sent to the smartphone by using bot telegram when the Carbon Monoxide above the threshold. The functional system test show that the proposed warning system is working properly and small delay time on transferring data to smartphone. As a result, the simple warning system is promising as car warning system of Carbon Monoxide. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
