Abstract
- The article announces awards given to contestants of the sixth annual George E. Forsythe Student Paper Competition. The first place went to Robert W. Scheifler who wrote the "An Analysis of Inline Substitution for a Structured Programming Language." The second place went to both David K. Gifford, who wrote "Hardware Estimation of Process Primary Memory Requirements," and Harry G. Mairson, who wrote "Some New Upper Bounds on Generation of Prime Numbers."
