Abstract
- This article, published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology, discusses a case of esophageal liposarcoma in a 46-year-old man. The patient presented with dysphagia, retrosternal pain, and heartburn, and had vomited a pedunculated mass. Imaging tests revealed a lobulated filling defect in the esophagus and an intraesophageal soft tissue mass. The patient underwent tumor resection, and histopathology confirmed the diagnosis of well-differentiated liposarcoma. The article emphasizes the rarity of liposarcoma in the digestive tract and the importance of complete tumor removal to prevent recurrence. [Extracted from the article]
