Abstract
- The article reports on a case of cardiac metastasis of renal carcinoma in the absence of invasion of the inferior vena cava. The case of a 67-year-old woman with a history of Chagas disease, Hodgkin's lymphoma, thyroid carcinoma, and hypertension is described. Several studies were performed confirming the presence of metastasis in the heart, lungs, adrenal gland, and kidney. Immunomodulatory treatment was initiated, but after six cycles of treatment, no reduction in metastasis or the primary tumor was observed. The article highlights the importance of performing diagnostic tests such as echocardiography, magnetic resonance imaging, or positron emission tomography to characterize the lesions. It also mentions that first-line treatment for advanced clear cell renal carcinoma is the administration of immunomodulators. [Extracted from the article]
