Abstract

A simple, rapid, cost-effective, accurate, and specific LED fluorimetry approach has been used to measure Uranium in groundwater, rock, soil, and fruits. Various fluorescence-enhancing chemicals, such as sodium pyrophosphate and orthophosphoric acid, were used in the studies. Several geochemical anomalies were discovered while evaluating the uranium concentration in the rock (background level) and soils of Bodal mines. In this study pH, TDS, hardness, alkalinity, Mg2+, Ca2+, Cl−, NO3−, SO42−, F− and uranium were taken for evaluation of water quality index (WQI) using the standard values recommended by the AERB (60ppb) and WHO(30ppb). Distribution of uranium ions towards other related geology have been explained. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
