Abstract

This article explores the issue of wastage in the extraction and injection of botulinum toxin, a popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment. It discusses various techniques that have been proposed to minimize wastage, such as using specialized vials and syringes, rolling the vial between the palms of the hands, and removing the vial cap. The article provides recommendations and guidelines for accurate dosing, dilution, and administration of botulinum toxin, as well as the safe and effective use of this medication in cosmetic procedures. It also discusses the use of botulinum toxin for seborrheic dermatitis and the need for further research to determine its therapeutic potential.
