Abstract
- This research aims to improve the quality of speaker products by integrating Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methods to analyze the production process factors that contribute to defects. The study was conducted at CV. PWM, where product defects almost reached 8% to 10%. The highest reject was identified as bubbles on PVC, caused by improper temperature settings during the coating process. FMEA analysis showed that the failure potential glue temperature being too high or low and conveyor too fast can cause bubbles on PVC. The technical recommendation is to ensure correct temperature and conveyor speed settings by making a checklist to improve product quality. The implications of this study suggest that integrating FMEA and RCA methods can effectively analyze production processes and prevent potential failure modes, thereby improving product quality.
