Abstract
- This article discusses a method for reinserting a self-expandable metal stent (SEMS) through an endosonographically created route after hepaticojejunostomy for multiple cholangioscopy-guided procedures. The study presents a case of a 76-year-old man with obstructive jaundice due to large common bile duct stones who underwent endoscopic ultrasound-guided hepaticojejunostomy using an SEMS. The SEMS was removed and then reinserted using a guidewire and wire-guided forceps. The authors suggest that reusing a single SEMS with this method for multiple cholangioscopy-guided procedures would be cost-effective. [Extracted from the article]
