Abstract
- The article presents news relating to the computer industry. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration submitted its report titled "Long Range Goals in International Telecommunications and Information: An Outline for United States Policy" to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. John McCarthy, a professor of Computer Science at Stanford University, has been elected President of the American Association for Artificial Intelligence. Sylvia Charp, President of the American Federation of Information Processing Societies, presented the National Academy of Sciences with a 75,000 dollars check.
