Abstract

The article focuses on climate cycles during the middle Cambrian period in the Marjum Formation of Utah, using sedimentological and geochemical data to understand the impact of Milankovitch forcing on sedimentation patterns. It identifies millennial-scale rhythmite couplets and interprets their formation as a result of interactions between local sediment transport processes and regional climatic variations, including shifts in monsoon intensity and sea-level changes.
