Abstract

This article examines the connection between early endotracheal intubation (ETI) and patient outcomes in emergency department cardiac arrest (EDCA) cases. The study found that early ETI did not have a significant effect on the rate of return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) after EDCA, but it was linked to better 24-hour survival. However, the study has limitations, such as its retrospective nature and absence of a control group. The authors recommend further research to gain more conclusive findings and stress the importance of delivering high-quality CPR and using clinical judgment in airway management.
