Abstract
- A 3-year-old boy with a history of skin rashes and a positive family history of autoimmune and renal disease was diagnosed with Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP). He was treated with prednisone, but the treatment was not effective as he continued to have persistent lesions. It was suggested that the lack of efficacy may have been due to a hypersensitivity reaction and vasculitis secondary to COVID-19. The boy's symptoms improved with colchicine treatment and the rash eventually healed within a few days. [Extracted from the article]
