Abstract
- A 69-year-old woman developed erythema induratum of bazin, a skin condition, while being treated with dupilumab for atopic dermatitis. She initially had erythematous plaques and itchy nodules on her limbs and trunk, and had previously tried other medications without success. After starting treatment with dupilumab, her symptoms improved, but after 10 weeks she developed firm subcutaneous nodules. Biopsy results showed fat necrosis and granulomas, and a tuberculosis test was positive. It was determined that the woman developed erythema induratum of bazin as a result of the dupilumab treatment. The treatment was discontinued, but her atopic dermatitis continued to improve. [Extracted from the article]
