Abstract

Sangrawawayang Village is an area dominated by fisher communities. These conditions mean that the people in Sangrawayang Village carry out many activities utilizing water resources, such as fishing. The fishing tools that are widely used are liftnet, and some people use special liftnet for fishing tourism. Fishermen's catches have decreased and stagnated in Sangrawayang Village, requiring innovative tools to increase catches, which can impact fishermen's welfare. The animal protein FAD attractor (FAD booster) is one of the tools that can help increase the catch of Bagan fishermen in Sangrawayang Village. The fisher community needs education in making FAD boosters to optimize fishermen's understanding of making these tools so that they can be sustainable and fishing communities can make tools independently. The use of the FAD booster in Sangrawayang Village showed a significant difference in catch results, namely 88%, compared to the catch in Bagan, which did not use the FAD booster. An increase in catches means that fishermen's income also increases, which can improve the welfare of fishermen in Sangrawayang Village. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
