Abstract

This article discusses the cardiotoxicity and lack of efficacy associated with the use of trabectedin, a medication used to treat various types of cancer. The article presents four case studies of patients who experienced cardiotoxicity and lack of efficacy while receiving trabectedin for different types of cancer. The patients developed symptoms such as breathlessness and impaired left ventricular function, and were treated with medications such as ramipril and bisoprolol to manage their symptoms. Despite treatment, some patients experienced progressive disease. The article highlights the need for further research and monitoring of patients receiving trabectedin to better understand and manage these side effects. [Extracted from the article]
