ACM Lecturers 1973-74.

The article presents information on the lecturers chosen by the Association for Computing Machinery for 1973-74. These lecturers, each a recognized expert in one or more areas of computing, have been selected with special attention to maintaining a fair balance of topics which will interest ACM Chapters and enrich their programs. These lecturers have graciously accepted the invitation to serve their colleagues in the computing community, involving a commitment which requires substantial time and effort on their part. ACM appreciates their generosity as well as that of their employers. The chairman of the 1973-74 Lectureship Series Committee is Robert M. Aiken of the University of Tennessee. As in past years, the ACM Special Interest Groups were particularly helpful in providing suggestions and encouraging potential Lecturers. Some of the lecturers who presented their lectures include F. T. Baker, James R. Bunch, Frank H. Heath, David J. Kuck, James J. O'Brien and many others.
