Abstract

A 65-year-old woman with erythema elevatum diutinum (EED) experienced a lack of efficacy with multiple drugs, including ciclosporin, dapsone, methotrexate, and mycophenolate mofetil. Despite receiving these treatments, her skin lesions continued to progress. Surgical excision of the nodules was unsuccessful, and the lesions regrew at the surgical site. Further investigation revealed bone abnormalities within the skull, and the woman was ultimately treated with thalidomide and cyclophosphamide, which resulted in the resolution of her skin lesions.
