Abstract

The aim was to investigate the effect of feed supplementation with coenzyme Q10 on Micropterus Salmoides growth, body composition, antioxidant capacity, and serum and liver antioxidant enzyme activity under low oxygen stress.Three isonitrogenous and isoenergetic diets were formulated,400g/kg fish meal control (F0), 200 g/kg fish meal control (F1), 200 g/kg fish meal + 50 mg/kg coenzyme Q10 (F2). The diets were fed to M. salmoides with the initial body weight of (5.00±0.02) g for 56 daysHypoxic stress at 3-4 mg/L was performed 1 week after the end of the experiment and sampled for analysis. The results showed as follows: Compared with the control group F1, WG, SGR and FW supplemented with 50mg/kg coenzyme Q10 were significantly increased (P<0.05). The highest crude protein was 50 mg/kg coenzyme Q10. Fish water and crude fat content were not significantly different between groups (P>0.05). The serum of AST supplemented with coenzyme Q10 was significantly decreased (P<0.05). The serum GSH-Px, GSH and CAT activities in the 50 mg/kg coenzyme Q10 group were higher than the control group F1 (P>0.05), and the serum MDA content was significantly lower than the high fish meal control group F0 (P<0.05). Under low-oxygen stress conditions, significantly increased serum GSH-Px and CAT activity supplemented with co‐enzyme Q10 (P<0.05), GSH-Px and CAT activity with 50 mg/kg coenzyme Q10 were the highest in liver compared with other experimental groups. The cortisol content of 50 mg/kg Coenzyme Q10 was significantly lower than that of F0 group (P<0.05). In conclusion, the addition of 50 mg/kg Coenzyme Q10 to the feed can promote the growth performance of M. salmoides, improve the antioxidant capacity of the body and the anti stress capacity under hypoxia stress.
