Abstract
- TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) was utilized for the dielectric measurements of neat propylamine, ethanol, and their binary liquid mixture in the temperature range 25°C-10°C and in the frequency range 10 MHz–50 GHz. The complex permittivity spectra were plotted as a function of frequency and exhibited Cole-Davidson behavior. The temperature-dependent dielectric parameters, such as the dielectric constant and relaxation time, were estimated in the aforementioned temperature range. To ascertain intermolecular interactions at 25°C, the Bruggeman factor (fB) was employed. After studying the thermodynamic properties (ΔH and ΔS), it was found that the presence of an endothermic process was indicated by positive values. The molecular interactions were verified by an FTIR analysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
