Abstract
- A case report published in Reactions Weekly describes a boy who exhibited lack of efficacy when treated with biperiden and levodopa for torsional dystonia. The boy experienced various symptoms including clumsiness, dystonia, tremors, and speech difficulties. He also developed telangiectasias on his sclerae and skin, as well as swelling in his finger and knee. He was later diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis and received treatment with methotrexate, which led to improvement. At the age of 22, he experienced severe ataxia and was diagnosed with ataxia telangiectasia based on cytogenetic analysis. [Extracted from the article]
