Abstract
- A 58-year-old woman with paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH) experienced lack of efficacy during treatment with heparin for PNH-associated thrombosis. She presented to the emergency department with muscle weakness, altered behavior, headache, abdominal pain, and dark-colored urine. Further investigations revealed significant thrombosis in various parts of her body. Despite receiving heparin and endovascular mechanical thrombectomy, she passed away a few days later due to PNH-related thrombosis, indicating a lack of efficacy with heparin.
