Abstract
- This article explores the correlation between serum allergen-specific IgE levels and total serum IgE levels in patients with atopic dermatitis (AD). The study collected blood samples from 39 adult AD patients and measured their IgE levels for 39 different allergens. The results showed that AD patients had a higher positive rate for allergen-specific IgE compared to asthma patients. Additionally, certain allergens, such as cedar pollen and Malassezia, showed no correlation with total serum IgE levels, while mites and wheat showed a significant positive correlation. The study suggests that allergies to specific allergens may be closely associated with atopic allergic conditions in AD patients. [Extracted from the article]
