Abstract

The article discusses the author's experiences and observations during their visits to Pulau Ketam, an island in Malaysia. They describe encounters with wild dogs on the island and the division between the human and animal realms. The author also explores the Teochew community's traditions and cultural practices, such as Teochew Opera and traditional fishing techniques. The article highlights the prevalence of crab motifs on the island and reflects on the concept of Carcinisation, where different species evolve into crab-like forms. The author's experiences inspired them to create an art exhibition and a virtual reality project centered around the theme of crabs and their influence on natural and human history.
