Abstract

Water is a natural resource that is very important in human life. 80% of the human body consists of water. In daily life, the water consumed by humans is produced by companies that package mineral water so that it is ready for use. In the production process, statistical control is needed, so that in its manufacture it does not harm consumers in quality or quantitatively. Therefore, in this paper, a Double Exponentially weighted moving average (DEWMA) control chart will be applied to detect small mean shifts in a production process. The results obtained will be compared with the EWMA (Exponentially Weighted Moving Average) control chart which is a control chart. The first developed to detect small shifts in the mean value in a production process. The results of this study show that the performance of the DEWMA control chart shows better results in monitoring small shifts in the process mean than the EWMA control chart based on the amount of data that is out of control from the Mineral Water Production Process data at UD Jabal Nur Pangkep Indonesia.
