Abstract
- The article discusses the standardized nuclear medicine residency training program in China. The program, known as Standardized Training for Resident Doctors (STRD), was implemented in 2014 and follows a "5 + 3" model, with five years of undergraduate medical education followed by three years of residency training in the chosen specialty. The Nuclear Medicine Residency Training Program (NMRTP) in China aims to provide essential knowledge and skills in nuclear medicine over a three-year period. The program includes training in various departments related to nuclear medicine, such as oncology and cardiology, and emphasizes both theoretical and clinical knowledge. The article suggests that more specialized training and additional subspecialty training may be needed in the future to meet the growing demand for nuclear medicine professionals.
