Abstract

A retrospective study conducted in London evaluated the maternal and neonatal outcomes of 25 pregnant women with COVID-19 who were treated with anti-IL-6 therapy. The study found that the outcomes were largely favorable, with the only possible adverse outcome being transient neonatal cytopenia observed in around one third of the babies. The study also reported that all pregnancies resulted in live births, but 16 babies had to be delivered preterm due to COVID-19 complications. The study had limitations, including a small sample size and lack of a control group, and did not provide long-term follow-up data on the neonates. [Extracted from the article]
