PENERAPAN MODEL PAILKEM DAN TEKNIK TERATAI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS NASKAH DRAMA PADA SISWA KELAS XI SOSIAL IV SMA YPPK TARUNA BAKTI WAENA.

Language learning is known to have four components of language skills, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. These four components are interrelated with each other and cannot be separated. The ability to write gives meaning that is important for communicating indirectly in daily life. To improve writing skills, in this research, the Lotus technique with the Pailkem model was used. Seeing that the writing ability of students in grade XI Social 4 of SMA YPPK Taruna Bakti is still relatively low, this research is very necessary to be carried out. The problem that was revealed was that students did not dare to come forward and express their ideas in writing drama scripts. This research is a classroom action research. The actions carried out in this study include three cycles. Each cycle is carried out in stages consisting of four stages, namely, (1) planning, (2) action, observation and, (4) reflection. The subject of this research is a student of class XI Social IV SMA YPPK Taruna Bakti. The research data was taken by test and non-test. Data collection through tests is the writing of drama scripts, while data collection is through non-test in the form of observation sheets and documentation. Based on research, the learning of students' writing skills using the Lotus and Pailkem techniques has improved when compared to the learning outcomes of students in the initial pre-cycle research which only reached 66.12%. In the first cycle, the increase in students' writing ability reached 71.70%, and in the second cycle, the level of drama script writing ability was 81.03%. Thus, it can be concluded that the level of students' ability to edit drama scripts has increased after using the Lotus technique and the Pailkem model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
