Abstract

In this popular science experiment, the non-toxic ZnGa2O4:Bi3+ fluorescent material was prepared which has three mode luminescence properties including tunable multicolor emission, dynamic photochromic and thermochromic fluorescence properties. By utilizing the "chameleon-like" fluorescence characteristics of the material, we designed three kinds of display schemes for information security application. The experiment is not only interactive and interesting, but also has a good effect on popular science practice, which is helpful to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning chemistry, and help adolescents experience the rich connotation of "beautiful chemistry".
