The school service of the Cologne City Library.

Instead of a profound search in the library collection and in databases many students today regard any internet document as sufficient. The library with its different media forms and search instruments must be presented to them as an attractive place of information and learning for both school and spare time. Conventional guided tours are not suitable for this. Therefore Cologne City Library has set up the school service: a modular, individually adaptable system of introductory presentations, library rallyes, group work and retrieval trainings that is complemented by an extensive reading promotion program and special facilities and programs for teachers.
