Abstract

Earth-centred law (ECL) promotes Nature's intrinsic value and rights, challenging anthropocentric legal frameworks. Drawing from traditional knowledge, systems science, and Earth Jurisprudence, ECL addresses global ecological crises by redefining the human–Nature relationship. This opinion highlights the necessity and challenges of adopting ECL, emphasising its role in making legal and policy decisions that align human activities with Nature's stability. Despite significant obstacles, ECL is, it is argued, critical for living in harmony with Nature and for a just future for all life on Earth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
