Abstract

A 53-year-old man developed levamisole-induced leukocytoclastic vasculitis after using cocaine adulterated with levamisole. He presented with bilateral lower extremity pain and swelling, and a physical exam revealed a purpuric rash on his legs. Blood work showed elevated C-reactive protein levels, and a punch biopsy confirmed the diagnosis. The patient was treated with triamcinolone and showed improvement before being discharged from the hospital. This case highlights the potential for drug-drug interactions and adverse reactions associated with polysubstance drug abuse. [Extracted from the article]
