Abstract

The aim of this study was to discuss different perspectives on psychoanalytic clinical practice in relation to non-binary transidentity issues, in order to explore the challenges of analytical practice in the multiplicities in which gender is experienced, bringing out a more cautious and welcoming approach to “de-binarizing” clinical practice, reflecting on the epistemological and cultural mitigants that surround transidentities in post-contemporary times. A qualitative approach was used as a method, based on bibliographic research, which raises salutary questions for the consolidation of this research. The study in question was conducted using the theoretical framework of psychoanalysis. The discussion about transidentities, through the psychoanalytic approach, needs to be in an open field and attentive to sexual differences, always trans-disciplinary listening and considering that the subject who comes to the clinic goes beyond the logistics of biological and/or social categorizations. Thus, listening to them from the perspective of non-binary clinical practice is necessary and trans-changing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
