Abstract

The Israeli military conducted airstrikes in Syria, targeting a building in Damascus believed to be housing a Hezbollah official involved in weapons smuggling. The attack resulted in the deaths of seven people, including women and children. Israel also disclosed that it had killed another Hezbollah operative in a separate airstrike in a Syrian town near the Israeli border. These strikes are part of Israel's broader campaign to disrupt supply lines to Hezbollah and push the group back from its border. The Israeli offensive in Lebanon has displaced hundreds of thousands of Lebanese and emptied Beirut's southern suburbs. Israel claims to be targeting areas used by Hezbollah as military sites. The Israeli military also reopened its offensive in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, urging Palestinians to evacuate the area. The strikes in Syria and Gaza are part of Israel's efforts to halt Iranian shipments of weapons to Hezbollah and prevent the group from replenishing its weapons caches. [Extracted from the article]
