Envelhecimento nos Estudos Organizacionais: Proposta de Agenda de Pesquisa.

The purpose of this theoretical essay is to analyze the field of research on aging in the organizational context from a transdisciplinary perspective. This is a bibliographical study on some aspects of the aging process in organizations. For this, a predominantly qualitative national and international literature was adopted. The discussion revolves around research approaches, the challenges and difficulties of the scientific field and the paradoxes of aging in the context of the world of work. Thus, the article seeks to organize the field of research on the aging process in organizational studies, as well as bringing advances in the construction of a research agenda on the aging process in organizations. In addition, practical and social implications of the research are presented with regard to the aging of the workforce, for example, organizational policies for people management, coping with ageism and changes in consumption patterns.
