Abstract

Low performance and pollution resulting from incomplete combustion represent a significant drawback of internal combustion engines. To improve this to a possible extent, diesel is blended with additives. While these additives individually offer one or two advantageous outcomes, providing composite additives comprising various components will be the effective solution to collectively provide all the beneficial effects. This paper intents to formulate a new blend of comprising oxygenates and ethanol for suppressing the knock and enhancing the efficiency without exhibiting any detrimental effects on the engine. This mixture includes one oxygenate (ethanol) and one antiknock agent (toluene), (Ethylenediamine). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
