Abstract

A 71-year-old woman developed immunoglobulin A (IgA) vasculitis while being treated with vedolizumab for ulcerative colitis (UC). Despite previous treatment with mesalazine and corticosteroids for over 11 years, she showed lack of efficacy. The woman presented with purpura on her limbs, which led to a diagnosis of IgA vasculitis secondary to vedolizumab therapy. Treatment with prednisolone resulted in the prompt disappearance of purpura, and her UC was well-controlled with continued vedolizumab therapy. [Extracted from the article]
