Abstract

The spread of COVID-19 is massive and greatly affects various aspects of life, ranging from health, and education, to the socio-economic community. In addition to providing drug therapy, optimal nutrition must be considered in managing COVID-19 patients. There are various ways to avoid this virus, one of which is by consuming vitamins, one of which is livestock products in the form of fresh milk. Public awareness of the importance of good nutrition during the pandemic has increased the demand for fresh milk. This type of research uses a literature study. This study aims to analyze the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the trend of fresh milk production in South Sulawesi. The analysis uses descriptive secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency and related literature. The results show a high demand for milk as a result of people being aware of the importance of consuming nutritious food to increase body immunity and reduce infection with the COVID-19 virus.
