Abstract

A 51-year-old woman with a history of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and hypothyroidism developed myositis during treatment with docetaxel for uterine leiomyosarcoma. She experienced muscle pain, weakness, and swelling after her final cycle of chemotherapy, leading to a diagnosis of acute docetaxel-induced myositis. Treatment with opioid analgesics and high-dose prednisone resulted in gradual improvement of her symptoms, with her muscle enzyme levels returning to normal after three months.
