Abstract

A 66-year-old man developed immunoglobulin A vasculitis after receiving the AZD-1222 COVID-19 vaccine. He presented with widespread palpable purpura, vesicles on his extremities, and joint swelling and arthralgia. The man, who had underlying health conditions, was admitted to the hospital due to purpura progression and diabetic foot issues. A biopsy confirmed immunoglobulin A vasculitis caused by the vaccine, and he was treated with steroids, leading to improvement in his skin lesions. [Extracted from the article]
