CULTURA CONTEMPORÂNEA E EDUCAÇÃO CRISTÃ: DOIS DESAFIOS ATUAIS.

This article considers two challenges that contemporary society and culture impose on educators, especially Christian educators: the challenge of patience/perseverance and the challenge of mentorship of information. At the end of each presentation, suggestions for facing such challenges are presented. The focus, however, is the presentation itself. The purpose is to make the reader aware of these challenges and illustrate a sort of reflection still uncommon in Brazilian studies of Christian education. Such studies usually deal with matters of principle, but seldom promote contextual applications. Parents, church leaders, school directors, teachers, counselors, and all those who are interested in cultural studies, specially in contemporary culture, will benefit from this discussion.
