Abstract

This essay examines the development of formative pathways for teacher education, grounded in the perspectives of Francisco Imbernón (2011) and the concept of narrative curriculum by Ivor Goodson (2007; 2022). It explores trajectories and essential knowledge for educators' training, with an emphasis on reflective pedagogical practice. Drawing from these authors, it underscores the significance of teachers' personal narratives in unveiling the tacit knowledge inherent to the teaching profession. These life stories constitute a distinctive epistemology of teaching, providing a fundamental foundation for prospective teachers' education. Thus, the intersection of Imbernón and Goodson's ideas sheds light on the importance of acknowledging and harnessing educators' individual experiences as cornerstones for pedagogical formation.
