Direct C-H difluoroallylation of α,β-unsaturated amides and aryl amides by rhodium catalysis.

Herein, we report the first example of Rh-catalyzed C(sp²)-H difluoroallylation of α,β-unsaturated amides with 3-bromo-3, 3-difluoropropene under mild conditions. The features of this protocol for difluoroallylation are unprecedented vinylic substrates, ethanol as a green solvent, good functional group and air compatibility, and scale-up synthesis with low catalyst loading.
