Abstract

The article "HOSPITALIZATIONS AND DEATHS DUE TO PARKINSON'S DISEASE IN BRAZIL: 2022/2023 BIENNIUM" published in the Movimenta Journal, analyzes the epidemiology of Parkinson's disease in Brazil between 2022 and 2023. The data shows that the Southeast region had the highest number of hospitalizations (45%) and deaths (44%), with the age group of 60-69 years being the most affected. The study concludes that hospitalizations and deaths due to Parkinson's disease are more common in elderly men in the Southeast region of Brazil. [Extracted from the article]
