Abstract
- A 51-year-old woman with acute myeloid leukemia experienced lack of efficacy with various drug therapies, including ciclosporin, methotrexate, rituximab, dexamethasone, daratumumab, and bortezomib for post-transplant pure red cell aplasia. Despite receiving multiple treatments, she failed to achieve a haematological response and required continuous blood transfusions. Ultimately, she was successfully treated with graded doses of donor-type packed red blood cells transfusion and hydration, leading to sustained erythropoiesis and freedom from transfusions.
