Abstract

In 2024, a solar maximum brought people from across Canada together to witness the spectacular northern lights display, visible from Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories, to Ontario's Point Pelee National Park. The sun's peak activity sent energetic particles into space, creating vibrant auroras as they interacted with Earth's atmosphere. The awe-inspiring aurora borealis displays are set to continue through most of 2025, uniting stargazers in their shared appreciation of this rare and unpredictable astronomical phenomenon.
