The Fall of the Wall and the resulting contemporary historical changes dramatically changed my personal and professional life. My personal memories should bear out that impression. Being responsible for the merger of the Deutsche Bücherei Leipzig and the Deutsche Bibliothek Frankfurt meant not only an organisational, but also a deeply human experience.
