Budidaya Pisang (Musa acuminata L.) Varietas Barangan dari Anakan yang Direndam dengan Ekstrak Bawang Merah.

Shallot extract contains growth regulators (GR). Shallots can be used as an alternative source of natural GR that is cheap and easy to obtain to replace synthetic GR which is relatively expensive. The purpose of this study was to (1) determine the effect of shallot extract, and (2) determine the appropriate concentration of shallot extract on the growth of banana saplings of the Barangan variety. This research was conducted from February to August 2022, located in Huluduotamo Village, Suwawa District, Bone Bolango Regency. This research used Block Randomized Design (BRD). Trial design with 4 treatment levels of shallot extract concentration namely 0, 10, 20 and 30 g/L. Shallot bulbs are soaked for 2 hours at each level of treatment. Each treatment was repeated four time for 16 experimental unit. The variables observed were tillering height, number of leaves and stem circumference. The results of analysis variance at the level of 5% showed that shallot extract had a significant effect on the variable tillering height and stem circumference of banana saplings, not significant effect the number of leaves. Shallot extract affects the growth of the seedlings of banana; and the best concentration of shallot extract is 30 g/L. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
