ENTRE DOIS PARADIGMAS E A FORÇA POLARIZADORA DA ECONOMIA DO OURO: INTERIORIZAÇÃO, FORMAÇÃO NATURAL, ABASTECIMENTO, FISCALIDADE E OS TRANSPORTES EM MINAS COLONIAL.

The article comprises two overlapping levels of analysis. The general plane covers transportation in the Colony, and the particular plane refers to transportation in Minas Gerais. It moves from historiographical production that contributed to the general framework of colonial transportation to historiography that addressed aspects of transportation in Minas Gerais. This overlap is summed up in the proposition of two transportation paradigms in force during the colonial period. We propose a periodization for the History of Transport in Minas Gerais and we also explore some classic sources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
