Abstract

The work studied the effect of a low-pressure RF discharge on the structure of leather from the skins of sea and river fish. The volumetric nature of plasma processing of natural materials has been determined, because the surface of the skin is exposed to a flow of ions with an ion energy of 50–100 eV, and the treatment of the internal surfaces of the material becomes possible due to the instantaneous potential difference of the SZ on opposite sides of the sample, which occurs during HF oscillations of the electron gas in the plasma and reaches values of 80–160 V.
