Regularities of preparing highly adhesive filled polymermonomer compositions.

The influence of the nature of modified fillers (Ni- and Cu-containing polymer-silicate materials) on the kinetics of emulsion polymerization of methylmethacrylate in the presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone graft copolymers was investigated. The features of polymer formation of polymethylmethacrylate materials depending on the nature of the filler and process conditions are considered. The polymerization process occurs through several stages and is characterized by an induction period. High surface hardness and Vicat softening point characterize the developed materials obtained based on filled compositions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
